BLUFFTON, S.C. — The Bluffton community is grieving the loss of Heather Nix, a beloved wife, mother, business owner, and community leader, who passed away on August 6, 2025, after a courageous two-month battle with glioblastoma (GBM), an aggressive form of brain cancer. She was 44 years old.

Heather was known for her vibrant personality, fierce determination, and deep compassion. Friends and colleagues describe her as vivacious, full of joy and humor, unwavering in her faith, and generous to all who knew her. Whether in her personal life or professional endeavors, Heather brought energy, warmth, and a genuine love for others.

She dedicated herself not only to her family but also to her clients and community. As a successful real estate advisor and co-owner of Nix Flooring & Design, Heather combined her passion for homes with a knack for building lasting relationships. Her work as a home improvement specialist and business owner helped shape countless spaces and lives throughout the Lowcountry.

Heather leaves behind her devoted husband of 25 years, Kenny Nix, and their three daughters—Chandler, Rachel, and Samantha.
