A violent shooting early Sunday morning at North Mart Plaza left eight people injured, authorities report. The incident took place shortly after midnight, with victims ranging in age from 21 to 40 years old.

Capitol Police responded quickly to the scene near Meadowbrook Road off North State Street, where they found the eight individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. One victim remains in critical condition.
