Jerry Fisher Obituary – Marshall Man Killed in Henderson County Hit-and-Run

Authorities have identified the pedestrian killed in a tragic hit-and-run earlier this month as 60-year-old Jerry Fisher of Marshall.

The North Carolina State Highway Patrol reports that the incident occurred on August 3 at around 10 p.m., when Fisher was crossing U.S. 25 near the intersection of Naples Road. According to Sgt. Anthony Carpenter, Fisher was struck by a southbound white SUV, which then left the scene.

Fisher was transported to Mission Hospital in Asheville, where he later died from his injuries.

The Highway Patrol says the investigation is ongoing, and no additional details have been released regarding the suspect vehicle or driver. Authorities continue to urge anyone with information about the case to come forward.

Jerry Fisher is remembered by family and friends as a kindhearted and hardworking man whose sudden loss has left a deep void in the community. Memorial service arrangements will be shared once finalized.
