The Clarksville Police Department has identified the two men killed in a Tuesday night shootout at Mizu Japanese Cuisine as 18-year-old Noah William Peterson and 24-year-old Makhi Charon Richardson, both of Clarksville.
According to investigators, the deadly gunfire stemmed from a planned meeting between two groups that escalated into a shootout. Peterson and Richardson — one from each group — were struck and killed during the exchange. Police say the shooting was an isolated incident.
Two other individuals, 20-year-old Harvin John Lee James and 21-year-old Antario Jameer Hyrne, have been charged with tampering with evidence in connection to the case. Both are being held in the Montgomery County Jail.
Authorities say the investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be filed.
