Lancaster County Teen Killed in High-Speed Crash on Martindale Road

Officials have identified 19-year-old Gage Weaver of Denver, Pennsylvania, as the victim of a fatal three-vehicle crash that occurred Wednesday afternoon, August 13, on Martindale Road in Ephrata Township.

The collision happened at approximately 4:55 p.m. when Weaver, driving a Ford Mustang eastbound, lost control of his vehicle. The Mustang crossed into the westbound lane and collided head-on with a Ford Econoline van driven by 42-year-old Mary Yoder-Desire of Ephrata. A Honda CRV, driven by 45-year-old Michael Mansi of Berwyn, was traveling behind the van and struck it following the initial impact.

Weaver suffered multiple blunt force trauma injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by the Lancaster County Coroner’s Office, which ruled his death accidental. Authorities believe speed was a contributing factor.

A passenger in the van sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a medical facility for treatment.

Emergency crews from the Martindale Fire Company and Fivepointville Ambulance responded to the scene, assisting police and medical personnel.

The Ephrata Police Department continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
