On the evening of Thursday, August 14, 2025, Joseph Lee Holeman, 45, tragically lost his life after being fatally shot at the Deer Cross Apartments.

Police responding to the scene found Holeman inside his apartment, while Dean Orlov, 32, was located outside. Orlov has been charged with murder in connection with the incident.

Authorities report that Orlov had been causing disturbances in the apartment complex prior to the shooting. A resident stated that he had been harassing neighbors and attempting to lure women to his apartment.
