The Yorktown Police Department has confirmed the death of 44-year-old Jeremy Solomon of Irvington, who was fatally struck in a bicycle accident Thursday morning.

According to police reports released Friday, Solomon was crossing Route 134 on foot or bicycle shortly before 7:47 a.m. when he was struck by a passing vehicle. Authorities are still reviewing the exact circumstances leading up to the collision.

Emergency services responded promptly to the scene, including Yorktown Police, New Castle Police, Empress Emergency Medical Team, and fire departments from Yorktown and Millwood. Despite immediate efforts, Solomon was pronounced dead at the scene.
