Authorities have confirmed that Eden Cuautli Zacatelco has sadly passed away after being struck by a vehicle while riding an electric scooter on Saturday night.

The Phoenix Police Department reported that the incident occurred around 7:40 p.m. near the intersection of 67th Avenue and Indian School Road. Emergency crews arrived quickly and transported Zacatelco to a nearby hospital, but despite their efforts, he later succumbed to his injuries.

Police said the driver involved in the crash fled the scene. Investigators believe the suspect vehicle is a black truck. The case remains under investigation.
