It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Brent “Buddha” Hager. Brent was one of a kind his larger-than-life personality, quick wit, and unforgettable humor made him impossible not to love.

His tattoos told his life story, his jokes—often the dirtiest and funniest in the room—kept us laughing, and his energy lifted spirits the moment he walked in. Whether it was his legendary St. Patrick’s Day booty shorts or his recent mullet (the ultimate green red flag), Brent had a way of bringing joy, laughter, and connection everywhere he went.

Beyond the laughs and antics, Brent had a heart of gold. He was a loyal friend, a bright spark in our Deadwood family, and a man who truly left his mark.

Buddha, you will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved you. Things will be quieter without you here, but your memory, your laughter, and your love will live on with us always.
