Jaden Christopher Dunwoody Obituary, Death: An 81-year-old man from Troy lost his life on Saturday morning in a collision involving two vehicles in Dale County, as reported by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

Carroll Grant Hughes suffered fatal injuries when the 2019 Ford F-250 he was operating collided with a 2021 Freightliner Cascadia tractor-trailer driven by 24-year-old Jaden Christopher Dunwoody from Dothan. Hughes was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident and was declared dead at the scene.

Dunwoody incurred injuries during the incident and was taken to Dale Medical Center in Ozark for medical attention. The accident took place around 7:35 a.m. on Saturday, August 16, on U.S. 231 near the 54-mile marker, approximately five miles south of Ariton.

Troopers from ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division are continuing their investigation into the incident.
