Rossana Cacal Obituary, Death; – A chef from Denton tragically lost her life in a crash on Friday night, and the driver of another vehicle has been arrested and charged with intoxication manslaughter, according to the Denton Police.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the deceased as 58-year-old Rossana Cacal, who worked as a chef at The Chestnut Tree restaurant in Denton. Cacal was a passenger in a vehicle that was hit while making a turn at the intersection of West Windsor Drive and Northway.

The incident occurred around 10 p.m. on Friday. An investigation by the police revealed that the vehicle carrying Cacal failed to yield the right of way while turning onto Northway. Another vehicle, operated by 22-year-old Noah Kendrick, collided with the passenger side of the vehicle in which Cacal was seated. Cacal occupied the passenger seat.
All three individuals in the vehicles were transported to the hospital, where Cacal was pronounced dead at 10:56 p.m.

Kendrick has been arrested and faces charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon as well as intoxication manslaughter with a vehicle. He received treatment and was released from the hospital before being booked into the City of Denton Jail, where he is currently held on a bond of $62,500.

The driver of Cacal’s vehicle also sustained injuries but was later discharged from the hospital.
