Police on the island of Grand Bahama are investigating a fatal traffic accident that claimed the lives of two men and left two women injured early Sunday morning.
According to authorities, the crash occurred shortly after 2:00 a.m. at the intersection of East Atlantic Drive and Tamarind Street. Police and Emergency Medical Services responded quickly after receiving reports of the collision.
At the scene, first responders discovered multiple victims. Two men were examined and pronounced dead at the location. One of the victims has been identified as Mateo King.
In addition, two women were transported for medical care. One woman remains in critical condition at the hospital, while the other sustained minor injuries.
Police have not released further details on the circumstances that led to the crash but confirmed that the investigation is ongoing.
The tragic accident has left families and the Grand Bahama community grieving as authorities work to piece together what happened.
