Authorities have confirmed that a part-time adjunct coach at Hillcrest High School has been dismissed and arrested in connection with a sexual battery case involving a student.
The Simpsonville Police Department reported that 26-year-old Ceisean Jahad Tucker-Grimes was taken into custody on Friday after investigators determined he engaged in an inappropriate relationship with a Hillcrest High School student outside of school.
According to an arrest warrant, the incident occurred on June 2 at an off-campus location. Police said they were first notified of the allegations on Monday, prompting an immediate investigation that led to Tucker-Grimes’ arrest.
He now faces a charge of sexual battery with a student and has been booked into the Greenville County Detention Center.
Greenville County Schools confirmed that Tucker-Grimes is no longer employed with the district. In a statement, officials emphasized their commitment to the safety and well-being of all students, saying the district will continue to fully cooperate with law enforcement.
