Harvey Davis Obituary, Death; Police working to identify suspect involved in deadly hit-and-run in Aurora

Harvey Davis Obituary, Death; – The Aurora Police Department has requested assistance from the community in identifying a suspect related to a fatal hit-and-run incident that occurred in early August.

At approximately 6:15 p.m. on August 9, authorities reported that they responded to a collision involving a vehicle and a motorcycle at the intersection of Dayton Street and East 12th Avenue in northwest Aurora.

An injured motorcyclist was discovered at the scene. This individual was transported to a hospital, where police later confirmed that he succumbed to his injuries three days afterward. The motorcyclist has been identified as 65-year-old Harvey Davis, a resident of Aurora.

According to the investigation, police stated that Davis was traveling north on Dayton Street when he was struck by a 2003 Subaru Forester that failed to yield at a stop sign while proceeding east on 12th Avenue. The Subaru did not stop to provide assistance and fled the scene, as reported by the police.

The abandoned Subaru was subsequently located near the site of the crash. Currently, police have no information regarding the suspect. Images of the vehicle involved are provided below.
