Alize Smith Arrested; – The individual found guilty of murdering a Belvidere resident and his two children will serve the remainder of his life in prison.

Twenty-eight-year-old Alize Smith received a sentence of three consecutive life terms without the possibility of parole during a Boone County court session on Monday.

Smith was found guilty by a jury in May on three counts of First Degree Murder for the deaths of 31-year-old Andrew Hintt, along with his 7-year-old son Benjamin and his 5-year-old son Sebastian, which occurred in December 2021.

During the sentencing hearing, as reported by the Boone County State’s Attorney’s office, victim impact statements were presented, including one from Benjamin Hintt’s best friend, which was read by his mother. The State’s Attorney’s office indicated that Smith persisted in denying his role in the murders.

Judge C. Robert Tobin delivered the sentence in court on Monday.
