The officers and members of the Ellendale Volunteer Fire Company are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Granville “Shorty” Hall.

Shorty was more than a friend—he was a steadfast supporter of the fire service and a beloved member of the community. Through his work with The BBQ Doctors, he catered countless events, bringing people together with his food, his humor, and his generous spirit. His presence was always something to look forward to, and his kindness left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

The fire service is built not only on those who wear the uniform but also on those who stand beside us, offering encouragement, support, and community. Shorty embodied that spirit fully. His dedication and generosity will be remembered for years to come.
