The Pittsburg community is reeling after the tragic passing of Gracie Morris, a beloved child whose life brought joy and love to so many. Gracie passed away today due to complications from an infection that turned septic, leaving her family, friends, and teammates heartbroken.
Gracie was more than a daughter, friend, and teammate—she was a radiant spirit whose smile, energy, and personality instantly lit up every space she entered. She captured the hearts of everyone she met and became a source of inspiration and happiness throughout the years.
The Junior Patriots Football and Cheer program released a statement mourning Gracie’s loss and honoring her memory:
“Our hearts are heavy as we mourn the loss of Gracie Morris, a beloved member of our C-Team cheer family. Gracie’s infectious smile, unmatched sass, and joyful spirit lit up every room. That same smile and spirit shined brightly on the sideline at her very first jamboree this past Saturday. She was always the first to dance, the loudest to cheer, and the one who could lift spirits just by being herself. Gracie will always be a part of our team, and we are dedicating this cheer season in her honor. Please join Junior Patriots Football and Cheer in praying for her friends and family during this incredibly difficult time.”
As the community comes together in grief, Gracie’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Her passion, cheer, and light will forever remain a part of the Pittsburg family, and especially within her cheer team.
Gracie’s spirit continues to inspire, and her legacy of love, laughter, and strength will never be forgotten.
