The community of Draper, Utah is mourning the loss of Alec Meyer, a beloved son, friend, and alumnus of Juan Diego Catholic High School, who passed away on August 10, 2025, at the age of 27. His passing has left family, friends, and classmates heartbroken as they remember the joy, kindness, and light he brought into their lives.
Alec was a proud member of the Class of 2016 and a lifelong part of the Skaggs Catholic Center community. Those who knew him remember his contagious smile, boundless energy, and the warmth he shared with everyone around him. Whether in the classroom, with friends, or within his faith community, Alec was known for uplifting others and leaving a lasting impression through his kindness and joy.
He is survived by his loving parents, Jeff and Susan Meyer, and by his best friend, Brittany, who stood by him throughout life’s many moments. To his family and friends, Alec was not only cherished but also a source of inspiration, and his memory will forever live on in their hearts.
Juan Diego Catholic High School shared news of his passing, saying: “Alec Meyer, 27, left this world way too soon on August 10th, 2025, leaving us all with pain in our hearts. We ask you to come celebrate Alec’s life with us on Tuesday, August 26th at 7 p.m. in the Chapel of Our Lady of Guadalupe at Juan Diego Catholic High School. We hope you can join us to remember Alec’s contagious smile, joyous energy, and the light he brought to all our lives.”
