A tragic accident on Interstate 85 near I-485 claimed the life of 24-year-old Michael Bruce on Thursday morning, August 21, 2025. Bruce, who was riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle, had been planning to propose to his girlfriend during a cruise scheduled later this week.

According to authorities, the crash occurred around 6:45 a.m. Bruce reportedly lost control of his motorcycle, ran off the side of the ramp, and struck a ditch after traveling up an embankment.
