It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of 22-year-old Ollie Nelson, from Strathmiglo, who tragically lost his life in a fatal crash near Blaireadam on Sunday, August 24, 2025.
The accident occurred around 10:50 p.m. on the B996 at the junction for the B9097 and involved a black Seat Leon car. Ollie was a passenger in the vehicle and, despite the efforts of emergency services, he did not survive the crash. His sudden and untimely death has left his family, friends, and community devastated.
Police Scotland confirmed Ollie’s identity and shared that his loved ones have requested privacy as they grieve this heartbreaking loss. Constable Lee Buckley expressed condolences on behalf of the force, saying: “Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of Ollie at this devastating time.”
Officers are continuing their investigation into the crash and have appealed to the public for assistance. Anyone who was in the area at the time, or who may have dashcam footage that could provide crucial information, is urged to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting reference number 4040 of 17 August, 2025.
