IPSWICH, Mass. — Authorities have identified the motorcyclist who tragically lost his life in a collision on Route 1A on Sunday afternoon as 72-year-old Charles Parisi, Jr., a resident of Gloucester. The Essex County District Attorney’s Office confirmed the identity of the victim.

The Ipswich Police Department responded to the crash on High Street near the Dow Brook Conservation Area at approximately 4 p.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered that Parisi’s motorcycle had collided with a Dodge pickup truck. Parisi was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the pickup truck, a 49-year-old man from Lynn, remained on site and cooperated fully with law enforcement.

An investigation into the circumstances of the crash is ongoing, with Ipswich Police working alongside the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, the State Police Crime Scene Services Section, and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
