Chicago police are investigating a fatal stabbing that occurred early Tuesday morning in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood on the city’s Far South Side.
The incident happened just after 2:30 a.m. in the 900 block of West 78th Street. Officers responded to the scene for a well-being check and found an adult male unresponsive with multiple stab wounds. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Authorities have not yet released the victim’s name or age as they work to notify family members. The circumstances surrounding the attack remain unclear.
