We urgently need your help in locating Gurtaj Rattan, who went missing around 5:00 PM on August 25 while hiking Flora Peak, near Lindeman Lake, British Columbia. He was last seen near the 1.5 km point on the trail and may have unintentionally gone off-route. At the time, Gurtaj was wearing a white shirt and grey shorts. Search and Rescue (SAR) teams are currently on the ground, working tirelessly to locate him.
However, time is critical, and we’re asking the public—especially those in or around the Flora Peak area—to remain vigilant. If you’re hiking in the region, please stay aware, report any signs, and consider assisting SAR if you’re able to do so safely and in coordination with their teams. Gurtaj is a beloved son, brother, and friend. His absence is deeply felt, and we’re desperate to bring him home safely. Even the smallest piece of information could be crucial.
If you have any details or see anything unusual, please contact local authorities or Search and Rescue immediately. We are incredibly grateful for the support from SAR teams, the hiking community, and everyone who has shared this alert. Please continue spreading the word to raise awareness—your support truly matters in this urgent time. Let’s come together and help bring Gurtaj home.
