It is with great sadness that the community of Atlanta, Georgia, announces the sudden passing of Antonio L. Speed, a respected educator, leader, and entrepreneur.

Known for his dedication to both his professional pursuits and his personal relationships, Antonio’s loss is deeply felt by his family, friends, colleagues, and the countless lives he touched throughout his journey.

Born and raised in North Miami, Florida, Antonio later made Atlanta his home, where he built a reputation as a dependable, accomplished professional with an unwavering commitment to excellence.

His career reflected his versatility—ranging from roles in education to business leadership. Antonio served as Assistant Principal and Health Educator with Fulton County Schools, where he became a mentor and guide to students, teachers, and parents alike.

Alongside his work in education, he pursued entrepreneurship as the CEO of Speed Quality Property Inspections, where he combined his keen attention to detail with a passion for service.

Antonio’s educational achievements demonstrated his lifelong dedication to growth and leadership. He earned his B.A. in Criminal Justice from Valdosta State University (1999), followed by a Master’s in Public Administration (2011).

Later, he furthered his studies with a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration from Georgia College & State University (2020), graduating with a perfect 4.0 GPA. These academic milestones mirrored his drive to better himself and those around him.

Throughout his career, Antonio held influential roles including Director of Operations at the Jonathan Spikes Foundation, Special Education Teacher with Clayton County Public Schools, Behavioral Specialist at Ombudsman, Career Advisor with Fulton County Government, and an Educator for the Broward County School Board.

In each position, he was admired for his leadership, adaptability, and ability to connect across diverse groups. Those who knew Antonio personally remember not only his professionalism but also his vibrant personality, humor, and generosity.

He had a way of lifting the spirits of those around him, whether in a classroom, at a business meeting, or during a casual conversation. Colleagues and friends recall his punctuality, work ethic, and joyful presence.

One tribute captured this beautifully: “Man, it’s hard to believe I’m writing this RIP post for my friend, my Q-Dawg, my ‘favorite’ go-to home inspector in Atlanta. Antonio, you may be gone, but you’ll never be forgotten. My clients and I will genuinely miss you.”
