Joshua Lee McGuire Obituary, Death;- A motorcyclist who was killed in a Sullivan County crash that closed Interstate 81 southbound for several hours has been identified.

According to a Tennessee Highway Patrol report, Joshua Lee McGuire was driving a motorcycle on I-81 southbound near mile marker 60 shortly before 10 p.m. Wednesday. The motorcycle crashed under unknown circumstances. The motorcycle ended up in the left lane, and McGuire was in the middle of the road.

A tractor-trailer then crashed into the motorcycle, dragging it, before coming to a controlled stop on the right shoulder of the road. The commercial vehicle then became engulfed in flames.

McGuire was killed in the crash. The driver of the tractor-trailer was not hurt.
