Tragic Motorcycle Accident Claims Life of 21-Year-Old Aiden Frazier in Shadyside

SHADYSIDE, Ohio — A tragic motorcycle accident on Wednesday claimed the life of 21-year-old Aiden Frazier of Bellaire and left two others injured, including a juvenile, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s St. Clairsville Post.

The crash occurred at the intersection of Shadyside North and East 34th Street when Frazier’s 2025 Kawasaki ZX6R collided with a 1994 Ford Ranger. Authorities said the Ford, driven by a juvenile with 73-year-old passenger Eric Gartner of Shadyside, was heading southbound and attempted a left turn into East 34th Street. Frazier, traveling northbound, struck the vehicle in the intersection.

Emergency responders rushed to the scene and transported Frazier to WVU Medicine Wheeling Hospital, where he later died from his injuries. The juvenile driver and Gartner were also hospitalized, but their injuries were described as non-life-threatening, and both are expected to recover.

The accident prompted a large response, including OR&W EMS, the Belmont County Sheriff’s Office, Shadyside Police, and multiple towing services. The Ohio State Highway Patrol confirmed the crash remains under investigation, with attention focused on speed, conditions, and driver actions during the turn.

For the Shadyside community, the loss of Frazier has left a deep mark, reminding drivers of the critical need for caution and awareness at intersections.
