Derrick Brockington Obituary, Death; – A motorcyclist has lost his life following a collision with a tractor-trailer on Interstate 10 close to Rose City. Derrick Brockington, aged 47, from Connecticut, has been named as the individual who perished in the incident.

The crash took place at approximately 5:40 p.m. on Thursday on the westbound lanes of Interstate 10, when Brockington collided with a tractor-trailer that was halted in the middle lane due to traffic, according to Shana Clark, a spokesperson for the Texas Department of Public Safety. The highway was temporarily shut down while the incident was being investigated and the roadway was cleared.

The operator of the tractor-trailer sustained no injuries; however, Brockington was declared dead at the scene by a Justice of the Peace. This investigation is ongoing, and no additional information is currently available.
