KIRKSEY, Ky. — The community of Kirksey is grieving the heartbreaking and unexpected loss of Kelsey Watson Chadwick, who passed away at the age of 35 on Thursday, August 28, at Frankfort Regional Medical Center following a sudden medical emergency.

Kelsey’s untimely passing has left her family, friends, church community, and colleagues devastated, as they remember a woman who was deeply loved and admired for her kindness, faith, and unwavering devotion to her family and the Lord.

She was the beloved wife of Bro. Matt Chadwick, with whom she shared a life rooted in love, faith, and service. Known for her warm heart and steadfast spirit, Kelsey lived her life as a reflection of her Christian beliefs. Friends and loved ones recall her as someone who radiated joy, compassion, and sincerity in every setting—whether at work, in church, or among her friends.

Her passing occurred while she was giving a presentation—an ordinary moment that quickly turned tragic. Despite the immediate efforts of EMTs and doctors to save her, Kelsey was called home to be with her Savior.

With heavy grief but unwavering faith, her husband Matt shared a heartfelt message:
“She would want every one of you to know that she loved you, and she was firm in her faith in the Saving Grace of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Our family will be grieving for many days to come as I know many of you will be as well. Please share her testimony, please share how she impacted your life, please share how you saw Jesus in her.”
