Yostena Sabet,Mina Sabet Obituary, Death;- Four individuals who lost their lives in a tragic crash on Saturday night on Interstate 15 in Temecula, including two young soccer players from Orange County, have been officially identified by the Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner’s Bureau.

The deceased victims of the crash include Yostena Sabet, 22, and Mina Sabet, 14, both residents of Downey in Los Angeles County, along with 13-year-old Jacob Labib from La Palma in Orange County, who were all in the BMW M4.

Nicholas Callans, a 36-year-old from Wildomar, who was driving a Nissan involved in the incident, succumbed to his injuries while being transported to the hospital. His passenger, a 22-year-old male, was reported to be in critical condition at Inland Valley Medical Center, as was the driver of the BMW, whose identity has not yet been disclosed.

The incident was reported at 9:33 p.m. on Saturday. A black BMW M4, operated by a 25-year-old man from Moreno Valley, was observed driving erratically on the northbound lanes of I-15. The vehicle swerved left, crossed over the concrete median wall, and entered the southbound lanes of I-15, colliding directly with the white Nissan Sentra driven by Callans, as per the California Highway Patrol’s report.

The crash was reported about 1 mile north of Winchester Road.

The driver of the BMW, a 25-year-old man from Moreno Valley who has not been identified, was pulled from the driver’s seat by a former NFL player and a good Samaritan. The driver suffered significant injuries and was taken to Inland Valley Medical Center, according to police. His three passengers all died at the scene of the crash.

A GoFundMe has been established for the loved ones of Jacob and Mina, both soccer players for the SoCal Reds Football Club, according to Lynn Perez, Head of Soccer Operations for that club. The boys, both members of the Boys 2011 EA team, were returning home from a soccer tournament at the time of the crash.

“Their joy, passion, and love for the game touched everyone around them,” Perez said. “We are hoping to continue the lasting legacy of Jacob and Mina, ensuring their lives are honored in meaningful ways, and their families feel the depth of this community’s care.”
