SUDBURY, Ont. — Police are investigating a double homicide after two people were found dead inside a Paris Street apartment late Friday night.
At approximately 10:23 p.m. on August 29, 2025, officers responded to a 9-1-1 call reporting gunshots inside a building at 1960 Paris Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered the bodies of a man, whose identity has not yet been confirmed, and a 41-year-old woman.
A 44-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the killings and remains in custody. Investigators believe additional suspects fled the scene before officers arrived.
Early findings suggest the shooting was a targeted incident involving individuals known to each other. Police say there is no threat to the general public.
The case has been turned over to the Criminal Investigations Division, which continues to work on identifying and locating the remaining suspects.
