DITTMER, Mo. — Authorities in Jefferson County are investigating a homicide after a man was found dead inside his home on Canyon Lane Saturday afternoon.

Deputies responded to the 8000 block of Canyon Lane in Dittmer around 4 p.m. on August 30, where they discovered the body of 60-year-old Robert Malcom, who lived at the residence. Officials confirmed that Malcom was the victim of a homicide, though further details about the cause of death have not been released.

Investigators are now searching for his wife, Stacy Jay-Malcom, whose whereabouts remain unknown. Detectives have not confirmed whether she is considered missing, in danger, or potentially on the run. Her disappearance is a central focus of the ongoing investigation.
