Kane Taddese,John Alfero Obituary, Death;- Authorities have identified the individuals affected by a shooting incident in downtown Kansas City, which resulted in the deaths of two men and injuries to three others, including a minor.

As reported by the Kansas City Police Department, the victims were 24-year-old Kane Taddese and 18-year-old John Alfero, who were fatally shot in a parking lot located near 13th and Grand Avenue on the morning of Sunday, August 24.

Police suspect that an argument may have precipitated the shooting, which occurred shortly after 4 a.m. However, the Kansas City Police Department has not yet verified whether any of the victims were part of the dispute.

Initial reports indicate that one victim was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other succumbed to injuries at a hospital shortly after 6:40 a.m.

Furthermore, the KCPD reported that the juvenile victim, a boy, sustained critical injuries from the shooting but is showing signs of improvement and is expected to survive. Additionally, another male victim is hospitalized with serious injuries, and a woman has non-life-threatening injuries. Their current health statuses remain unknown.

Crime scene investigators and FOX4 reporters noted that numerous bullet holes were discovered outside the nearby College Basketball Experience. The KCPD also mentioned that several vehicles in the parking lot were found with shattered windshields, bullet holes, and flat tires. By Monday, August 25, multiple vehicles had been towed away.

A witness informed FOX4 that the altercation began over a girl; however, this information has not been corroborated by law enforcement. The witness recounted observing a large group engaged in fistfights for approximately 30 minutes prior to the onset of gunfire. They also mentioned that several suspects were wearing masks and estimated that there were around 15 shooters involved.

Currently, no formal charges have been filed, and no arrests have been made.
