Lancaster County Man Killed in Labor Day Weekend Crash Identified as Austin Owens

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. — Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a deadly crash that occurred in Fulton Township over Labor Day weekend, leaving one man dead.

The incident happened just before 11:15 p.m. on Saturday, August 30, in the 2400 block of Robert Fulton Highway. Investigators say a vehicle traveling along the roadway crossed over the center line and collided head-on with another car.

The driver of the vehicle that crossed into oncoming traffic has been identified as 32-year-old Austin Owens. According to the Lancaster County Coroner’s Office, Owens was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have not released details on whether the other driver sustained injuries in the crash.

Police closed the roadway for several hours overnight while investigators worked to reconstruct the accident and determine the events that led to the collision. At this time, it remains unclear what caused Owens’ vehicle to cross the center line.

State Police are asking anyone who witnessed the crash, or who may have dashcam footage from the area, to contact the Pennsylvania State Police in Lancaster.

This tragedy marks yet another deadly collision on Pennsylvania roads during the holiday weekend, as authorities continue urging drivers to remain cautious.
