Jose Alberto Flores,Randall Edward Blackerby Obituary, Death; Family sought for 4 who died in Jeffco, including man found in George Ward Park creek bed

Jose Alberto Flores,Randall Edward Blackerby Obituary, Death;- Authorities are seeking the relatives of four men who recently passed away in Jefferson County, including an individual discovered deceased on a creek bank in George Ward Park.

The bodies are prepared for burial; however, the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office has been unable to find and inform their next of kin.
Jose Alberto Flores, also referred to as Jose Alberto, was found unresponsive shortly after 9:30 a.m. on August 13. The 41-year-old man, who was homeless, was declared dead at the scene.

City workers made the discovery in the creek bed adjacent to Green Springs Highway. Chief Deputy Coroner Bill Yates stated that there was no indication of trauma or foul play related to his death. The cause of death is awaiting further laboratory analysis.
Alberto was reportedly born in Jefferson, Kentucky. His mother, Louella M. Willis, also from Kentucky, passed away in November 2012.

Yates mentioned that Alberto may have other relatives residing in north central Kentucky. No photograph of Alberto was available.

Robert Douglas Wilson, a 76-year-old Black male, passed away on August 16 in the 2400 block of Clarendon Avenue in Bessemer.

Yates reported that Wilson called 911 to report chest pains. Bessemer Fire and Rescue arrived and found him unresponsive in his home.

There was no evidence of trauma or foul play associated with his death. The cause of death is pending further laboratory studies.
Wilson had previously listed addresses in Bessemer and Fairfield.
Randall Edward Blackerby, a 66-year-old white male, died on August 17 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, where he was a patient.

Blackerby passed away from natural causes and had previously listed addresses in Gadsden, Talladega, and Wilsonville.
Dwight Kevin Manning, a 73-year-old white male, died on August 27 at his residence on Oak Leaf Lane in Hoover.

Yates indicated that Manning was found by his roommate. He died of natural causes.

Manning had previously listed addresses in Birmingham, Vestavia Hills, and Hoover, as well as a former address in Derry, New Hampshire.
