It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we remember the life of Nicole Ndlovu Umhle, who tragically and unexpectedly passed away on August 31st, 2025, at Crumlin Children’s Hospital in Dublin. Nicole, beloved daughter of Nkosikona (Kosi) and Sitholumusa (Hilda), and cherished sister of Adriel, was a bright light in the lives of those around her. Her gentle soul and kind spirit will be deeply missed by family, friends, classmates, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Nicole resided at 20 The Millrace, Burrin Road, Carlow, where she was known for her warmth, kindness, and infectious smile. She was a beloved student at Askea National School, where she touched the hearts of teachers and classmates alike. Her presence was a source of joy and comfort, and her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her. Her passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, but her legacy of love, resilience, and kindness will continue to inspire everyone she touched.
Nicole’s untimely departure has left her family heartbroken. Her parents, Kosi and Hilda, along with her brother Adriel, are devastated by her loss. They take comfort in knowing that she is now at peace, but their grief is profound. We extend our deepest sympathies to her extended family, friends, and everyone who knew her. Her gentle nature and loving spirit will be remembered with great affection and reverence.
A Requiem Mass will be held in her honor at The Holy Family Church, Askea on Friday at 11am, followed by her funeral procession to Carpenter Bros Cremation Chapel, Shamrock Square, where her cremation service will take place at 12.30pm. Family flowers only, and donations, if desired, may be made to Ronald McDonald House at Crumlin Children’s Hospital, supporting families of ill children.
