Todd Joseph Rodman Obituary, Death; – The motorcyclist who tragically lost his life on Thursday afternoon after colliding with a roundabout on Clinton Parkway has been identified as Todd Joseph Rodman, aged 50.
Witnesses alerted authorities to the scene of the accident at 4:12 p.m. at the roundabout located at Lake Pointe Drive and Clinton Parkway, after discovering a man alongside his damaged 2008 Harley Davidson motorcycle in the roadway. Rodman was subsequently transported to a trauma center in Topeka, where he was declared deceased.
On Tuesday, police informed the Journal-World that there were no new developments regarding the investigation into the crash, which may take several weeks to conclude. According to a colleague who was placing flowers at the accident site on Friday, Rodman was employed in the operations division at the University of Kansas.
Rodman’s incident marks the second fatal motorcycle accident at that intersection this summer. On July 9, a 44-year-old man also lost his life at the same location. At that time, police indicated that excessive speed was a contributing factor in that incident. Officers were alerted just before 1 a.m. when a passerby discovered the victim — later identified as David Craig Evans from Gallatin, Tennessee — lying on the southern side of the roundabout’s island.
