Andrew Rodriguez Obituary, Death; – A woman was apprehended following the death of a bicyclist in a suspected DUI incident in Santa Ana.

The individual suspected in this case has been identified as Vanessa Anahi Picenavalos, 26, from Santa Ana, as reported by the Santa Ana Police Department.

On August 27, law enforcement officials arrived at the 2500 block of North Grand Avenue at approximately 11:35 p.m.

Initial investigations indicated that the bicyclist was in the process of crossing the street when he was hit by a vehicle near the intersection of Grand and Fairhaven Avenues.
Despite attempts to save his life, the victim, Andrew Rodriguez, 39, from Wilmington, was declared dead at the scene.

The suspect, Picenavalos, has been charged with driving under the influence. Additional information has not been disclosed as the investigation is ongoing.
