Kierra D Hawthorne Obituary, Death; – A collision involving two vehicles took place at around 10:40 p.m. on Saturday, August 23, resulting in the loss of two lives.

The operator of a 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer suffered fatal injuries when the vehicle collided head-on with a 2023 Nissan Sentra, which also resulted in the death of the Sentra’s driver. Following the initial collision, both the Trailblazer and the Sentra ignited and were completely consumed by flames.

Both drivers were declared dead at the scene and have been sent to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences (ADFS) for identification purposes.

The incident occurred on U.S. 43 near the 30-mile marker, roughly six miles south of the McIntosh city limits, in Washington County. The Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences (ADFS) has confirmed the identity of the Chevrolet driver as Kierra D. Hawthorne, 34, from Mobile. The driver of the Nissan has been identified as a 16-year-old juvenile.
