With heavy hearts and profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Morgan Morrell, of Fort Smith, Arkansas, who left this world far too soon on August 30, 2025, at the age of 37. Her departure has left her family, friends, and community with an emptiness that words alone cannot describe. Yet, in the midst of grief, her memory continues to shine brightly, offering comfort, love, and inspiration to all who were privileged to know her.
Morgan’s life was a beautiful testament to love, resilience, and compassion. To those who knew her best, she was a source of encouragement, strength, and laughter. Her friends recall her as someone who could light up even the darkest moments with her humor and warmth, and her family remembers her as a fiercely devoted mother, daughter, granddaughter, and sister.
She leaves behind her beloved children, Bryar Isaac Scott Bilyeu and Dovey JoLeigh Dufresne, who were the greatest joys of her life. Morgan’s love for them was boundless, and everything she did was guided by her deep devotion to their happiness and future. She also leaves to cherish her memory her parents, Brenda Morrell and Larry Bilyeu, whose love and guidance shaped her into the remarkable woman she became.
Her passing is mourned by her grandmother, Bobbie Goff, a figure of strength and comfort in Morgan’s life, as well as her siblings: Kelly, Skylar Hays, Michaela, and Jacob Kirby. To her siblings, Morgan was more than just family—she was a confidante, a supporter, and a constant presence through life’s highs and lows. She also adored her nieces and nephews, Anna Shields, Tova Oliver, and River Hays, who brought her so much pride and joy.
Though Morgan’s life on earth has ended, her legacy continues in the lives of those she loved and the countless memories she created. Her laughter, her wisdom, and her enduring spirit are woven into the fabric of her family’s lives, ensuring that her presence will never be forgotten.
In her passing, we are reminded of the fragility of life and the importance of cherishing every moment we share with one another. Morgan’s spirit now ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night skies of the hearts of those who loved her.
Family and friends are invited to gather in her honor, to share stories, offer condolences, and celebrate her life at a visitation on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Ocker Funeral Home, 700 Jefferson St, Van Buren, AR 72956. This time of remembrance will provide an opportunity to reflect on Morgan’s remarkable journey and the impact she had on everyone she touched.
