Hollow Water First Nation, Manitoba – September 2025 — The tight-knit community of Hollow Water First Nation is reeling following a tragic mass stabbing on Thursday morning that left one woman dead, multiple others injured, and the suspect deceased. RCMP identified the deceased victim as 18-year-old Marina Free Simard, the sister of the suspect. Another victim confirmed dead is Jenny Isabel Bushie, the suspect’s mother and relative of Marina.
