LCOLUMBUS, Ga. — Authorities have arrested a suspect in connection with the shooting death of 17-year-old Victor Hinton.

Hinton was found shot inside an apartment at the Virginia Arms apartment complex on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard on August 29, 2025. He was pronounced deceased at Piedmont Columbus Regional Hospital.

Following an investigation, 20-year-old Antione Finch was arrested on Tuesday, September 2, 2025. Finch has been charged with involuntary manslaughter and reckless conduct. He appeared in court on Wednesday, September 3, 2025.

Police have not released additional details about the circumstances leading to the shooting. The community continues to mourn Hinton’s loss as authorities work to ensure justice is served.
