Authorities say the driver, 42-year-old Travis McIntyre, was highly intoxicated at the time of the crash, registering more than six times the legal alcohol limit in Utah.

The Fatal Crash
On Wednesday evening, at approximately 6:39 p.m., Springville police officers responded to reports of a pedestrian struck near 400 South Main Street. When officers arrived, they discovered a Chevrolet Silverado that had come to rest on the sidewalk. McIntyre now faces multiple charges, including automobile homicide, DUI, and crossing a highway divider. Authorities have ordered he be held without bail as the investigation continues.
