James Bowie Obituary, Death; –A cyclist was hit by a vehicle and lost his life in St. Tammany Parish on Sunday, September 7. As reported by the Louisiana State Police, 33-year-old James Bowie from Covington was fatally injured in the incident.

According to LSP officials, a 2019 Chevrolet Blazer was heading north on Highway 1081. Concurrently, Bowie was cycling in the northbound lane close to the center dashed line. The Chevrolet collided with Bowie in the northbound lane.

Bowie suffered life-threatening injuries and passed away at the scene. The driver of the Chevrolet remained unharmed. The incident is still being investigated.
