Julie Gard Schnuelle Obituary, Death;- A retired professor from Auburn University was tragically killed, with her body discovered on Saturday in Kiesel Park, as reported by Auburn police, who have apprehended and charged a suspect.
Julie Gard Schnuelle, aged 59, was found in a wooded section of the park on Saturday. Subsequently, on Sunday, the Auburn Police Department arrested Harold Rashad Dabney III from Montgomery, charging him with two counts of capital murder in connection with Schnuelle’s death.
Schnuelle held the title of professor emerita at Auburn University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, having retired in 2021.
In a statement, the university expressed, “Auburn sends our sincere condolences to the family and loved ones of Dr. Gard Schnuelle during this unimaginably difficult time.” Dabney is currently being held at Lee County Jail without bond.
