Heather M Jones Obituary, Death; – A fatal crash occurred in Jefferson County on September 10, resulting in the death of one individual.

The New York State Police have identified the victim as Heather M. Jones, a 38-year-old resident of Dexter, New York.

According to State Police, at approximately 11:08 p.m. on September 10, troopers were dispatched to State Route 177 near Adams Center following reports of a one-vehicle accident that resulted in a fatality.

The investigation indicated that a 2011 Ford Expedition, driven by Jones, veered off the roadway and collided with a culvert. The vehicle rolled over several times, hit a mailbox, and subsequently caught fire.

Authorities have not disclosed the reason for the vehicle leaving the road. Jones was declared dead at the scene.

The investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
