Tiamoya Moore, a 34-year-old mother, was tragically shot and killed on Thursday evening, September 11, 2025, in Galveston, Texas. The incident took place at approximately 7:49 p.m. at a home located in the 5100 block of Avenue Q.

Officers responding to the scene found Moore critically injured, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Despite urgent efforts by Galveston EMS to save her, Moore was later pronounced dead at the UTMB emergency room.

The suspect in the shooting is Moore’s 16-year-old daughter, who allegedly fled the scene but returned later and was taken into custody without incident. The firearm believed to have been used in the shooting was recovered nearby. The teenager is currently being held at the Jerry J. Esmond Juvenile Justice Center on a charge of murder.
