Gabriel Thompkins Obituary, Death;- The Tampa Police Department has disclosed the identity of a man who was fatally shot at a sports bar in Ybor City.

Authorities have identified the deceased as 30-year-old Gabriel Thompkins.
According to the Tampa Police Department (TPD), an altercation occurred between two groups outside the Flexx Sports Bar and Ultra Lounge located on E 7th Ave at approximately 2:15 a.m. on Saturday.

A 22-year-old individual was reportedly ejected from the bar due to disorderly behavior and subsequently returned armed with a firearm.

As he approached the groups outside, police reported that he engaged in a dispute with one of the men before opening fire.

Thompkins sustained gunshot wounds and was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. TPD indicated that officers were positioned across the street when the confrontation began to escalate, allowing them to assist the victim and swiftly apprehend the suspected shooter.

Authorities have not yet revealed the identity of the alleged shooter, nor have they confirmed whether any charges have been filed.
