Authorities have identified the woman who tragically lost her life in a head-on crash Wednesday morning on Route 67 in rural Milan.
Lauren A. Hall, 32, of Reynolds, was pronounced dead at the scene of the Sept. 17 crash, according to the Rock Island County Coroner’s Office. The accident occurred around 10 a.m. in the 15000 block of Route 67.
Investigators said a northbound and a southbound vehicle collided nearly head-on. A 52-year-old man involved in the crash sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Route 67 was temporarily closed between 127th Avenue and 176th Avenue during the investigation but reopened later that day.
The Rock Island County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the crash remains under investigation and expressed gratitude to the Moline and Milan police departments, as well as the Coal Valley, Blackhawk, Sherrard, and Reynolds fire departments, for their assistance at the scene.
Lauren’s sudden passing has left her family, friends, and community heartbroken. She will be remembered with love and will be deeply missed.
