It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our dear friend and fellow warrior, Sergeant U.S. Army (Retired) Boone Cutler. Boone was far more than a soldier—he was a leader, a truth-seeker, and an unwavering advocate for the veteran community.
His death marks the loss of a man who dedicated his life not only to serving his nation in uniform, but also to fighting tirelessly for those who carried the unseen wounds of war.
Boone’s life’s work was defined by service and sacrifice. From the battlefield to the home front, he carried the burdens of combat with a courage that inspired others to persevere.
He became a steadfast voice for veterans struggling with Post Traumatic Stress, Traumatic Brain Injuries, and the invisible scars of war, offering hope where despair threatened to take root. To many, Boone was more than an advocate—he was a brother, a friend, and a lifeline.
One of his greatest contributions to the veteran community was The Spartan Pledge, a solemn vow that continues to save lives: “I will not take my own life by my own hand until I talk to my battle buddy first. My mission is to find a mission to help my warfighter family.”
Boone championed this pledge as both a promise and a mission, ensuring that no veteran would face their darkest moments alone. His work has prevented countless tragedies, and this enduring legacy remains a testament to his unwavering love for his brothers and sisters in arms.
As we grieve his passing, we also celebrate Boone’s life. He lived his faith with conviction, embodying the words of Isaiah 6:8: “Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?’ And I said, ‘Here am I. Send me!’” Boone answered that call with his whole heart—first as a soldier, then as a warrior for veterans’ well-being, and finally as a messenger of hope and resilience.
Even in this time of sorrow, Boone’s words echo in our hearts: “Control your emotions, protect your mind, and remember the mission.” His mission lives on through each of us who honor his memory, keep watch over our brothers and sisters, and remain faithful to the pledge he gave us.
To Boone’s beloved wife and children—please know that your extended military and veteran family stands with you. We love you, and we are here for you, just as Boone was always there for us.
As we reflect on his life, let us hold fast to the promise of Isaiah 41:10: “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
Rest in peace, Boone. Your mission continues in each of us, and your legacy of strength, love, and service will never be forgotten.
