With deepest sorrow and broken hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother, grandson, and friend, Howell Dixon White, age 5, who went home to be with his Savior on September 19, 2025, following a tragic accident.
Though his time on this earth was heartbreakingly short, Dixon’s life was a radiant light that touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Born on April 9, 2020, Dixon entered the world full of energy, curiosity, and joy.
From his earliest days, it was clear that he had a spark that set him apart. He was a quick learner, eager to try new things, and blessed with an athletic ability beyond his years.
Whether it was throwing a ball, racing across the yard, or joining his daddy to mow the grass, Dixon embraced every moment with uncontainable enthusiasm. His love of the outdoors was matched only by his love for people. He made friends easily, and his laughter had a way of filling every space with warmth.
To his family, Dixon was a treasure beyond words. He adored his sisters, Amelia and Saville, always eager to play, to share, and to protect them in his own gentle way. His bond with his momma was tender and deep, a love far greater than what could be expected from one so young.
He looked up to his daddy with admiration, always ready to be his little helper, learning and laughing at his side. Dixon’s bright smile, kind spirit, and affectionate heart left an impression that will never fade.
Although Dixon’s life was brief, his impact was profound. He lived with a purity of joy and innocence that reflected the very heart of God. His family takes comfort in the promises of Scripture, knowing that while Dixon is no longer in their arms, he is safe, whole, and forever held in the loving embrace of Jesus.
The words of Matthew 19:14 bring peace in this time of loss: “Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
Dixon is survived by his loving parents, Howell and KayLee White; his devoted sisters, Amelia and Saville White; his grandparents, Eddie and Natalie Dixon and Charles and Ellen White; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends whose lives were made brighter by his presence.
A service celebrating Dixon’s life will be held on Tuesday, September 23, at 2:00 p.m. at Hope City United Church, with a private graveside service to follow. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. All who knew Dixon are invited to attend, to remember his joyful spirit, and to cling together to the eternal hope of reunion in Christ.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hope City United Church, 1211 Stuart Ave, Albany, GA 31707, to fund the construction of a playground built in Dixon’s honor — a place where children can laugh, play, and experience the same joy he brought into the world.
Though our hearts ache with grief, we give thanks for Dixon’s life, a beautiful gift from God that will continue to inspire love, faith, and hope in all who carry his memory forward.
